Nautical Nachos Chip and Dip Plate
Ahoy snackers! Set a creative course to make a party saving snack dish using the Duncan® Oh Four® chip and dip plate! Add nautical style with bold stripes and solidly placed anchor sunk right in the middle of the dip area.
Wipe plate with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
Trace anchor pattern on tracing paper and transfer pattern to center, dip area.
From top of plate, measure approximately 1” down from edge of plate. Repeat on opposite side. Run a piece of tape across.
Lay ruler on edge of plate and begin measuring 2” followed by 1½” all the way to the bottom. Repeat on the opposite side.
Lay tape across leaving the 1½” spaces open. Push down the tape into the grooves so the paint will not seep under.
Brush or sponge three coats Bright Delft into the open spaces. Let dry. Remove tape.
Using Liner, carefully outline anchor with Neon Red. Fill in remaining dip area surrounding anchor with three coats Neon Red. Let dry.
If desired, paint center section on back of plate with three coats Neon Red. Let dry thoroughly.
Brush two coats Pure Brilliance to anchor and white, bisque stripes. Repeat with back of plate. Let dry thoroughly.
Brush a light coat of Pure Brilliance to entire plate. Let dry.
Stilt on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.
